Long ago Princess Katherine Ann lived in a fairy castle on Lake of the Isles with her sister, Princess Becky Boo. The two sisters were the eldest of eleven and neither had children but they loved their nieces and nephews as their own. Princess Katherine hosted a foreign exchange student, Princess Mango from Hong Kong, and she became part of the family, as well as her sister, Princess SukYee.
Her faith was renewed after her parents and Princess Becky Boo went to Heaven. Princess Katherine would spend each morning in prayer while she would work out on her exercise machine and reading her prayer books. Anytime anyone needed prayers, she would pray for hours. People just felt at peace knowing their prayer warrior was at work.
Princess Katherine lived a life of attitude of gratitude and she was extremely generous of her time and gifts. The more she gave, the more blessings she received. She volunteered at her local parish to help prepare meals for the needy. She supported several worthy causes. She was also an avid reader with a library she shared with many. She had a heart of gold and was very compassionate, kind and wise.
Organizing holidays and gatherings was a great joy for her. She would prepare detailed spreadsheets to keep everything organized even though some of her sisters would chuckle at the triplicate spreadsheets! Family gatherings were very joyous occasions and included not only immediate family, but special friends.
One day Princess Katherine wasn’t feeling very well so she went to the good doctor. A tumor was found, as well as some other issues and she had a heroic surgery with slim odds of success. She was loved and revered at North Memorial and was a model patient, always asking how the staff was doing and called them by name. She was very strong and a true warrior and after immunotherapy treatments, she taught everyone how to live life to the fullest. She fought her courageous battle for five years and went peacefully home to Jesus on August 11, 2019, joining a multitude of Angels. We feel special to have another fairy watching over us.
